This time of year reminds me of certain things I remember as a child. One is those things is the wonderful films that we watched like Chitty Chitty Bang Bang. That's what I am doing right now... watching this delightful film.

Whatever happened to this kind of film and why aren't more of them made? Large production numbers and simple storylines that remind us of a time where using one's imagination was encouraged.

Is the world so jaded a place that these films are no longer valued?

If you get a chance, watch (or watch it again) this film. Sure, there are no expensive special effects or slick characters but sometimes we need to return to days past to appreciate the simpler things.

I am going to get back to the film now. Enjoy yourselves!
